
Fleming-Neon, used to be the a trading hub of the coal industry in Eastern Kentucky. Older residents would often reminisce on how it was impossible to walk through the crowd of people in downtown Neon during the weekends. A train used to run from Fleming to Winchester. All that is now a memory. The train tracks were pulled out in the forties. Evidence of the past lives in fading memories.
This work in progress is born out of the current economic malaise. The uncertainty triggered a curiosity in exploring memories and the transient nature of being.
